#144: Cover Me

Brian Ibbot & Dan Klass @ Coverville 500 Concert

The continuing saga of the first 15 or so days of August.  This time we’re in Vegas, baby.  You know what they say: What happens in Vegas, stay in Vegas, unless you Twitter, Flickr and podcast your every move.

I tell the behind the scenes tale of Coverville 500.  Well, MY behind the scenes tale. I’m sure they are several others that will go untold.

Thank you to alie Gelman, Johnathan Coulton, Chance and the Choir and Richard Cheese for their outstanding work that night keeping the audience warmed up between my encores.

And, of course, thanks to Brian Ibbott for indulging my almost 4 year fantasy of hosting Coverville.  It was an honor, sir.  Congratulations on 499 outstanding shows (I am not including the early “all Fleetwood Mac” show.  Sorry)

k Wakes Up and Brave Men Run are both available at Podiobooks.com
This episode is currently only available to Premium Pill subscribers.   < <

  1. Don’t feel bad Tim, there’s no love for the Floyd Boys in the description either even though we carted his sorry worn out rear end over to Bally’s! Just kidding Dan, we love you.

  2. DICK Cheese gets a link and Tim “I drove across the desert because I love you” Coyne doesn’t get any link love? This hurts. Hurts bad. Tear.

  3. Dan, I love ya, man. You are truly the king, and this show had me in stitches (as well as enlightened me to a few things I didn’t even know happened). You’re the best (and only) guest host Coverville has ever had.

And for the record, I NEVER did an all-Fleetwood Mac show. Not saying I wouldn’t, because I think Lindsey Buckingham is a brilliant songwriter/guitarist, but I think you tuned into a show where I featured cover CDs that covered an entire album, and the first examples I used were two songs from a Rumours tribute…

    So there.

  4. Hey Dan, I really wasn’t going to ask but what is ‘horn’? Do I not get this because I am Scottish or because I am naive?

Still lovin the show. And that was a great hat. Good choice.

  5. I have searched the net and I should say I have not come across an article like this which is so easy to understand and learn the concepts.
cheers..free games..And, of course, thanks to Brian Ibbott for indulging my almost 4 year fantasy of hosting Coverville. It was an honor, sir. Congratulations on 499 outstanding shows ..
