It was down for me too last night (as was all of forumer.com), but seems to be back up now. Clearly, that is what you get when you go through a free service: you get what you pay for. I wonder if I can take all the posts/memberships and migrate them into our own forum later on. This is making me a bit nervous...

If I recall correctly, phpBB is usually based on a mySQL back-end. Perhaps if you ask former.com nicely they'll do a mysql backup for you to upload to a new server?
