Yo Dan,
You're right about l'il Leo in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". I have a retarded brother (we use the r word 'round here) and I have never ever seen any actor get anywhere near a decent portrayal of a reterded person. Leo did it. Gave me real, actual goose bumps. I haven't seen him do anything interesting since.
